At Uptech Institute (SMC-PVT) LTD, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account and personal data from our online learning platform at online.uptechinstitute.com.
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request the deletion of your account and personal data using any of the following methods:
Option 1: Delete Your Account from the Platform
1 Log in to your account at online.uptechinstitute.com
2 Go to your Account Settings or Profile Settings
3 Click on “Delete My Account”
4 Confirm the deletion when prompted
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you prefer, or if you are unable to access your account, you can send an email to [email protected] with the following details:
- Subject line: Data Deletion Request
- Your full name (as registered on the Platform)
- The email address associated with your account
- Sign-in method used (Email, Google, or Facebook)
We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When your deletion request is processed, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Your account profile (name, email address, profile picture)
- Login credentials and authentication tokens
- Course enrolment history and progress data
- Any comments, reviews, or user-generated content you posted on the Platform
- Communication preferences and settings
Please note:
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to all courses, progress, and certificates associated with your account.
- If you have purchased paid courses, please download any certificates or materials before requesting deletion.
- We may retain certain records (such as transaction records) where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., tax or accounting obligations). Such data will be kept in a secure and minimal form and will not be used for any other purpose.
Facebook Login Users
If you signed up using Facebook, you can also remove our app’s access to your Facebook data directly from your Facebook settings:
1 Go to Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings
2 Navigate to Apps and Websites
3 Find Uptech Institute in the list of active apps
4 Click Remove to revoke our access to your Facebook data
Removing the app from Facebook stops us from receiving any future data from your Facebook account. To also delete data already stored on our Platform, please follow Option 1 or Option 2 above.
Google Sign-In Users
If you signed up using Google, you can revoke our access to your Google account:
1 Go to Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access
2 Find Uptech Institute in the list
3 Click Remove Access
This prevents us from accessing your Google account data going forward. To delete data already stored on our Platform, please also follow Option 1 or Option 2 above.
